fastamp;furious Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 Just got back from emiss testing. thought the clogged cat was gonna fail me.it didnt. It failed for high hydrocarbons ( raw unburned fuel in the exhaust) . limit for hyrdrocabs is 220- mine was off the charts at 4000. the highest the test machine would read. it was 4000 at idle and at fast idle. Still cant figure out why this car aint throwing codes. do you think i have a stuck injector ( I cant smell a strong gas scent) or maybe the coil packs? Any help would be appreciated. just a thought but if i had a stuck valve or bent push rod could that cause it and would there be additional symptoms? My temp sticker expires in 2 days so i need to get this fixed asap. Quote
gp90se Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 have you replaced the cat and plugs like suggested in your last post? Quote
Aaron Posted September 27, 2005 Report Posted September 27, 2005 Go to the Jiffy Lube on Briargate and Chapel Hills Boul. Talk to Justin there, he is a manager in a red shirt, and go at about 5:00-6:00pm any day. You will need to bring a pizza with you, but he will pass your car. ***I did not tell you this, and ASK if Justin is there before you say anything. If so, ASK him if he can do it, and mention the pizza and my name. If Justin is not there, DON'T SAY A WORD, he could lose his job, and for a guy working 50+ hours a week trying to pay for school, I'd fucking kill you myself. It isn't a big deal, just make sure its Justin before you say anything.*** Once it is Justin and you're sure of it, mention my name and he'll hook ya up. Quote
