THe_DeTAiL3R Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 I'll be taking off the crosslace for the winter and storing them in the garage. Now with chrome wheels it's easy enough to slap on some grease and not worry about them rusting. What would be a good way to protect the aluminum during the 5 or 6 months they sit in the garage? I don't want to have to polish them constantly (but I will if I have to). Can I just slap some grease on it or will that screw up the finish? Quote
Prospeeder Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 oh jeese, i wonderd this too, will those bare aluminum wheels corrode just sitting for the winter, or if they were exposed to snow, but not de icer or nothing, wouldnt the mothers aluminum polish protect them, or would the grease really need to be done, my tgp will be sitting for the winter, so the wheels will also be sitting for the winter Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted September 26, 2005 Author Report Posted September 26, 2005 I guess I will polish the crap outta them, and get some white lithium grease... Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted September 26, 2005 Report Posted September 26, 2005 I just clean mine good before I take them off for the winter, the polish them again before I put them back on Quote
