slick Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 Hey, just noticed that I don't post in this section much. Anyways, for about the past 2 weeks now, my brake light in the guage cluster has randomly come on and off. At first i thought check my fluid level. It was a bit low, added some more, and it still comes off and on. So, I was thinking ok, parking brake. Maybe I pressed it down one knotch, so I pulled the lever to release it, and it was all the way up (which even if it was completely set, I do not have a working parking brake anyays, I have the 94+ GP brake upgrade done but i do not have the parking brake hooked up, so it doesn't matter to me). Anyways, i have noticed that if i just push down on the parking brake while driving, the light will turn off for a few minutes, then come back on again. And, I can push down on it with my hand again, and it will do the same as above. So... my question is, is there a sensor or a plug on the pedal itself that might have gone bad or unplugged somewhere? I'll gladly pull it out as long as the stupid BRAKE light on the guage cluster doesn't come on. Thanks. Quote
slick Posted September 22, 2005 Author Report Posted September 22, 2005 So just basically unplug and no more light then? Quote
jeremy Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 or you could just take the light out of the cluster Quote
terryk2003 Posted September 22, 2005 Report Posted September 22, 2005 better thing to do would prolly be to unplugged the park brake sensor...that way if you DID have problems with the rest of your braking system the light would still alert you!... Quote
