I've noticed that mine doesn't work. On either cluster that I have had, analog and digital. I've replaced the bulbs, but that little dummy light never comes on. Anyone know what gives?

Somethin wrong in the wiring or the 'switch' in the latch?

That'd be my guess as well, or possibily some relay that turns that light on isn't connected/not functioning if there even is a relay

Would my seat swap have anything to do with it? I really didnt touch the seatbelt, but maybe I accidentally moved/unplugged a wire during this, although I really dont recall the bulb ever working before that.

The fasten belts chime doesn't work, either. It never did. But the actual chime module works, becuase it does chime if you leave the lights on or have the keys in the ignition with the door open.

My bros '91 GP sometimes did that too... once and awhile, if you were buckling up, the chime would cut in and out...

probably a wire or contact issue with the latch... could be the previous owner didn't use the belt and disconnected the wire...

can't say he didn't search first

very true. I always search. I checked the plug which is fine. But i am a perfectionist. It must work properly for me to be satisfied. Does someone have a pinout maybe of how it is supposed to be, When i probe the connector on the floor one side is always gnd and the other side is only positive when the key is on. I know that that is not right because when you have the belt off it completes the circuit and when you have the belt on there is nothing. Is it pos or is it neg

:willynilly: someone must know but my haynes and chilton have helped absolutely nothing
