89 cutlass axles from a 5 speed,are the ends tripod style or

Are the axles a tripod style or a round style inner axle ends on the transmission end?

 

Here is a picture for you guys to compare

Awesome, so they look exactly like the picture I showed you guys....rounded/triangular?

 

I'm just wanting to make sure thats right because I dont want to have to mess with doing this 2 times

those look like the ones on my 1989 5-speed in my 1992 CS attatched to the 1990 3.1 Turbo Engine.... Laughing

 

As weird as that really does sound....you just confirmed what I needed to know. :thumbsup:

is that a home made intermediate shaft bracket? sure does look stronger than the stocker i have! are those white lines for power steering?

 

those axles look just like mine.

That bracket is custom made. The pictures are of brian teel's car. I have the same setup (getrag 282/L67), and I need to get an axle that looks like the one in the picture to accomodate that oil fitler relocation plate on the back of the block (where the thick white lines run to). The tripod style inner end will smack right up against that plate. everytime it turns
