Mr. Gibbons: Thank you for your patience in waiting for our response. In response to your inquiry, our internal technical resources have provided the following feedback: The HP and torque ratings for this engine have changed slightly over the years from 1991 to 1997: 1991 LQ1 Rating HP = 210 @ 5200 RPM Torque = 200 lb-ft @ 5000 RPM 1997 LQ1 Rating HP = 215 @ 5200 RPM Torque = 220 lb-ft @ 4400 RPM We trust this information is of assistance to you, and we thank you for contacting General Motors of Canada Limited. Heather has been answering emails on behalf of GM for a while. A couple of years ago (on probably gmforums) she had given us production numbers of anything you can think of. You just have to ask her REALLY REALLY nicely and assure her that the assistance she gives is a great asset bla bla bla basically brown nose her ...
