DASH LIGHTS BLOW FUSE INTERMITTANLY!!!!

OK, I finally rewired the dash correctly so now my panel backlighting works.

NOW, when i turn them on, i blow a fuse! Eventually, i'll put one in and it will work for a while, but then i shut the car off, leave it for a while, come back, and the fuse blows.

I rewired the headlight ground wire (black) but didn't use connectors.

The UB3 cluster dims, but the rest of the lights do NOT.

I really need some help on this. I want it fixed by tommorow

ok, this last night i put yet another new 5amp fuse in, and now the lights will light up, but i'm counting on the fuse being blown out eventually again. The digital lights will dim, however, the the backlighting WILL NOT DIM. And last night they were acting weird. They would not stay the same brightness, the intensity kept juumping all over. The light switch was replaced brand new in feb!

Your useing a 5amp fuse? My dash light crcuit uses a 15 amp fuse. I'll bet thats your problem.

yes, the CS requires a 5 amp fuse

Could the light switch just need replacing?

The guages and clock dim, the rest seem to be stuck at about 80% brightness

You might consider buying one of those buzzers you put on the circuit to find out exactly when the fuse blows.
