Somebody smashed my window!

Goddamn people! I was dead asleep at 3:30 this morning and my room mate walked into my room and woke me up saying someone broke into my car. They smashed out the rear driver window. Obviously someone hit it with something because there was no sign of anything thrown at it. I had my CD player, Gearwrenches and radar detector in the car and none of it was taken. Fuckin' morons! The world is full of such idiots!

Ah, that sucks... Even if nothing is taken, you gotta fix something you wouldn't have to fix if a idiot or two didn't do that for fun. Any damage to exterior, or interior near the window?

Nah, just the window, which is lucky. Gonna have to borrow money from my parents to fix this.

Let us know what it costs you to replace. I have absolutely no idea what car glass goes for these days, but I probably should know.

i had to replace my rear window with defrost grids in it because someone smashed it out a few months back, a local yard wanted $60

if its a sedan it may not be too bad as I think most sedans still use just a soild piece of glass. Alot of the coupes have the glass molded into a body colored frame and you cant seprate the 2.

 

When my 1/4 window was busted it cost about $60 for the window and another $130 to paint match it to my car.
