1990lumina Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 If no one else repsonds by tonight I'll post up the instructions from my dad's Suburban Quote
RareGMFan Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 i want to lock a unlocked one. Why in the name of all that is sacred would you want to do that? But anyways...towards the bottom in this link: http://www.corvetteradios.com/DelcoTheftLockBypass.html Quote
White93z34 Posted September 10, 2005 Author Report Posted September 10, 2005 i namely want it for the flashing red light, i know its not much, but it should be enough to ward off a timid car/stereo thief. Quote
MonteCarloChick Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 Who steals a stock radio? And mine doesn't have a red light Quote
GOT2B GM Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 Who wants to steal a 5-10 yr old factory GM CD player though?????? Quote
93CutlassSupreme Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 Who wants to steal a 5-10 yr old factory GM CD player though?????? you'd be surprised....people will steal anything from cars Quote
GOT2B GM Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 True enough, I guess you cant take anything for granted. Quote
RareGMFan Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 Any thief that's so timid that he'd be afraid of a tiny LED flashing better not quit his day job. A if he's into stealing factory stereos, he more then likely knows all about how to retrieve the code for them. Theftlock was a complete waste in my opinion, and just a pain in the ass for the rest of us when we want to upgrade or replace, and even when we loose power to the stereo. Quote
White93z34 Posted September 10, 2005 Author Report Posted September 10, 2005 i don't see how entering in 3 digits when the radio looses power is that big a ordeal. and further more, i asked HOW to do it. not "why is this a dumb idea?" Quote
RareGMFan Posted September 10, 2005 Report Posted September 10, 2005 I think I provided enough links to answer your actual question. Consider the answer to the second as a bonus hidden track. Quote
