FastSE2DR Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 Alright first off i have a 1994 Grand Prix SE(3100, 4T60E, UDP and WAI) Anyway, When i get off the line the car just doesnt feel like it moves good until like 4-4100 rpms and then it pulls very nicely(well for a 3100) when i ease to WOT it SEEMS like it pulls better but it could be just the way its powerband is...idk it just seems weird...i was thinking it could be the WAI cause i was told that the factory intake was designed a certain way for the motor(like a negative effect with an intake) but this was only on 3100s...what do you guys think? 88Regal Limited Posted September 11, 2005 Report Posted September 11, 2005 A WAi will help with top end, but stock airbox will help with lowend TQ. Quote
FastSE2DR Posted September 12, 2005 Author Report Posted September 12, 2005 well yeah i know that but ive heard that there was some design for the stock airbox and thats why people just hacked the box and used a k&n instead of an actual intake cause it hurt the car... Quote
gp90se Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 A WAi will help with top end, but stock airbox will help with lowend TQ. theres been a number of people on here who have run slower with a "warm air intake" from a stock air box, because a stock air box flows VERY well with a K&N drop in filter.
