Nick1234
Ok so i hooked up my new bov from a 1g dsm. If there is air comming venting out of it at idle is that mean it is bad. You can hear it working when you release the gas, but does this mean i am leaking boost? Nick
Prospeeder
well look at ur boost gage, reduced performance?
Prospeeder
it would read lower than usual if there was less boost,. not acurate by all means i know
Nick1234
i don't have a gauge. I know i must purchase one. i can tell it is working. And i can't really tell if there is any lose in performance. Will a boost leak test help me with this problem. We were going to do one tomorrow regardless. SO basically the vaccuum closes the valve when under boost? Nick
skalor
It should be open at idle as 1st gen DSM BPVs are open under all vacuums conditions. That's exactly why mine as a little K&N clamp filter on it. 8)
