EuroSedan93
Its been an on and off problem for a little while now and recently its been getting worse, as i start the car and put it into reverse the rpm needle fluxuates and then eventually just dies. it'll do it a few times usually and then it will start then go into gear fine. ANy idea on what it could be?
THe_DeTAiL3R
Check your IAC, clean it and the throttlebody. My old 2.8 used to stall like crazy at stops and stuff cause the IAC was gunked up.
EuroSedan93
It doesnt stall at stops, it only stalls in reverse at the initial start up when I throw it in reverse, its and on and off problem. Dunno why it does it.
gp90se
might be a transmission issue, does it have any issue when going backward?
OldSkoolGP
My Grand Prix did that every now and then too. I never could figure out why. It's difficult to diagnose because it doesn't throw a code. I would agree, check you IAC, clean your TB out, and also make sure your EGR passages on your plenum aren't all carboned up.
