Grand Moff Joseph Posted September 16, 2005 Author Report Posted September 16, 2005 you should still do a tuneup if it hasnt had one in a while (gm spec is every 30K, iirc) Tuneup was performed less than a year ago, including spark plugs, wires, oil change, fuel injector cleaner and fuel filter. I will be replacing the plugs in the next couple of days, as I highly suspect I have a bad one. If funding allows, I will also replace the coil packs. Quote
pwmin Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 look for tracking on the plugs just to make sure and tell us what the old ones looked like. Quote
Grand Moff Joseph Posted September 16, 2005 Author Report Posted September 16, 2005 tracking? BTW, the current plugs are platinums, which is why I am removing them (at the suggestion of many here) Quote
DOHCRagtopguy Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 AC Rapid Fire 8's work great in the LQ-1s. Quote
Grand Moff Joseph Posted September 16, 2005 Author Report Posted September 16, 2005 Yeah, I'm switching to AC Delco plugs anyway, though I don't have an LQ1. Quote
pwmin Posted September 16, 2005 Report Posted September 16, 2005 iirc, rapid fires are platinum. tracking: look for black marks on your plugs. it's indicative of bad plug wires or coil. probably wont have any though since your wires are new. Quote
