Weird lump in drivetrain - Update: Problem Solved!!!

you should still do a tuneup if it hasnt had one in a while (gm spec is every 30K, iirc)

Tuneup was performed less than a year ago, including spark plugs, wires, oil change, fuel injector cleaner and fuel filter. I will be replacing the plugs in the next couple of days, as I highly suspect I have a bad one. If funding allows, I will also replace the coil packs.

tracking?

BTW, the current plugs are platinums, which is why I am removing them (at the suggestion of many here)

Yeah, I'm switching to AC Delco plugs anyway, though I don't have an LQ1.

iirc, rapid fires are platinum. tracking: look for black marks on your plugs. it's indicative of bad plug wires or coil. probably wont have any though since your wires are new.

Sorry to kind of go a little off topic, but what do you guys think are the best wires for these engines? Im going to be needing a tune up fairly soon. Just wondering what you think is the best.
