The quad 4 Cutlass appears to be sporting the very same "prototype" crosslace wheels seen on some TGP's in magazine articles(the center of the wheels are slightly recessed and have a star-looking pattern to them).

TCCoA has a bunch of articles that include w-bodies (T-Birds were Ford's competitors to the Monte Carlo and Grand Prix). If you like Monte Carlo Z34s, you'll want to check them out for sure (the 3.4 was the only engine similar to the 4.6 SOHC).

holy crap, in the first Monte vs. Tbird, One with the 3.4DOCH and the other with the V8, the Tbird did 0-60 in 9 seconds and the Monte did it in 8.9, what the heck!? thats hella crappy!

I linked to that article here before when we were having a NA 3800 GP vs. 3.4 DOHC 1/4 mile time debate or something like that.

That's exactly what happened.

I have seen like 18 different times for 3.4's

7.0 sec, 7.3 sec, 7.5 sec, 7.8 sec, 8.0 sec, 8.5 sec, 34.8 sec, and so on.

I have a VERIFIED CELL PHONE TIME! :D

Thank god for cell phone time. Nothing like trying to set a 120-mile speed record to your g/f's house two counties away, only to FORGET TO TURN ON THE DAMN TIMER UNTIL HALFWAY THERE!!!

Sweet. I've never even heard of that car!

It still lives on as a cop car Cutty out in California in a "street legal drags" program. I believe it was rudefyet that posted it here about a year ago. It has a stockish Quad 4 in it now w/ nitrous, the motor that was used on the salt flats is(was) on display at the San Diego Automotive Museum.

If anyone is interested, you can find a few pictures in the galleries here.

NICE! the entire thing should be reproduced and put where everyone can see it!

btw... i owned a 85 calais replica, but i lost it.... so the next best thing is to make a knock off of the pace car :P (an unmarked look-a-like)
