digitaloutsider Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 It's not really that I want to cut holes in my hood, but the LQ1 has a cool down time of about 736 hours, and I was wondering how some GP hood louvers would look on the car. I know I usually have better taste than this, but I need something with more function than form. Any comments? Quote
5speedz34 Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 Funny when i first got the engine in a drove around the area with no hood....and no exhaust.... very redneck.... That had to be loud as hell! Quote
digitaloutsider Posted September 8, 2005 Author Report Posted September 8, 2005 It's fun to drive around with no hood on! You get tons of looks Quote
GP1138 Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 When I rearended that semi with my old GP, I drove with no hood down to the junkyard to get a new hood. It was funny to see how much my engine moved when the tranny shifted. Quote
stockgp Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 buy another hood and see how they look on it. Quote
runt Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 If you do, put 'em in the middle of the hood. There is a 92+ Cutlass running around town like that, and thye look pretty good. I'll try to snap a pic of it sometime, although the owner of the car is a total dickhead so it might not be easy. Quote
Psych0matt Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 wasnt there some stupid 442 vert or something on ebay a few months ago with the hood louvres? *runs to look through old posts Quote
jeremy Posted September 8, 2005 Report Posted September 8, 2005 I would find a scrap hood to try cutting up before I tried it with a good one. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted September 9, 2005 Author Report Posted September 9, 2005 He put them on the wrong way! Eugh. Sorry I ever thought of this idea. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 I like the cowl induction hood the one guy made on here a while ago... Quote
runt Posted September 9, 2005 Report Posted September 9, 2005 I like the cowl induction hood the one guy made on here a while ago... Theres a 94-96 GTP running around with a fake one on...LOL makes me laugh EVERY time! Quote
digitaloutsider Posted September 17, 2005 Author Report Posted September 17, 2005 I think the 88-93 lovers might look a lot better than the 94-96. Quote
Prospeeder Posted September 17, 2005 Report Posted September 17, 2005 i think TGP louvers would look better than the wimpy little GTP ones Quote
digitaloutsider Posted September 17, 2005 Author Report Posted September 17, 2005 That's what I'm saying 89-93 are all identical. In 94, they got smaller. Quote
