loominaz34 Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 So I did the compression test i've been putting off for so long finally and was confused with the results. the front 3 cylinders aer at 210 PSI, which I assume to be good, but the rear three are at 180 PSI. how could this be? the variation between cylinders in a single bank is less than 3 PSI but across it's 30 Quote
DaveFromColorado Posted September 5, 2005 Report Posted September 5, 2005 180 or 210 is extremely awesome no matter how you look at it - most people are runnin' 'round the 150 - 160 range anyhow. I'd guess that the engine may have been worked on at one time where the head gaskets were replaced, and one of the heads was shaved down causing the higher combustion presures - the only real way to tell is to yank the heads and CC all the chambers. --Dave.
