88Regal Limited Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Now I need a step by step how to clean/degrese your engine. Now I have the good old pushrod-powered 2.8 MPFI in an 88 regal limited....Base model..... I need to know what type of degreaser works best, what to cover so noting shorts out and stuff like that. I'm on a mission to get he regal looking her best, mixmatched tires or not. ANY help greatly appriciated. Quote
Supreme Cutlass Posted September 4, 2005 Report Posted September 4, 2005 Well, I've actually found that simple green works better than many degreasers, and it's cheap, AND smells better. I'd cover your: Air intake coils Fuses perhaps stuff some plastic in the spark plug wells. Your engine bay should already be semi-waterproof, so unless you're using a pressure hose I wouldn't worry about it too much. For your valve covers, a brush/ scrubbing sponge for the kitchen that's teflon safe usually works great. You can usually find full write ups on google Quote
