Base to Z34 cluster swap question

Where did you guys grab your tach signal at? I'm hoping i can get it inside the car. I was told i can get it at the aldl, but i looked it up on mitchell and can't find out where. Thanks guys Jay

You have to pull it from the ICM either under the hood or off the firewall connector. It runs to the engine side of the connector but no wire is ran inside the car for the tach.

I believe it is the pearly white wire on the ICM. The middle wire on the 5 wire harness. Investigate more before you go choppin though, otherwise you might wish you had

Yeah, there are 5 wires on the ICM, two of which are white. One goes to the ECM and the other goes to the dash tach. I had typed up all the wire pinouts for the Luminas about 1.5 years ago. The FAQ that lists the cluster pinout is only partially complete, I had also included the ICM pinouts but whomever posted the cluster info didn't feel it was necessary to include the ICM part as well.
