Prospeeder Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 i noticed today when i drove in my sisters car, that my TGP when my dad drove it was billowing white smoke out the back for like, 2 minutes then never again that day, i had it happen a couple weeks ago too, just for a few minutes, and no more, and it doesnt run wierd or anything, would this be the Turbine Shaft Seal or what? Jeff M Posted September 1, 2005 Report Posted September 1, 2005 This is going to be embarrassing easy once I tell you but, if it’s the engine then your o2 will show oil (check it right while its doing its smoking thing, shut off the engine first ). If it’s the turbo exhaust side then the o2 will be clean/no oil, assuming the compressor side of the turbo is not leaking which does not happen often at all, not nearly as much as the turbine side leaking.
