brianteel Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 i made one for my car and i am thinking of making more. it is for the 94-96 GP. It is 3 gauge but i can do a 2 guage. the last gauge does fit even though it does not look like it Quote
brianteel Posted August 30, 2005 Author Report Posted August 30, 2005 thanks i think i have a good templet to make more. I am trying a thinner piece because the 1/8" i used was way to hard to bend and thick Quote
1990lumina Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 So it is made out of aluminum or something like that then??? Quote
slick Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 thanks i think i have a good templet to make more. I am trying a thinner piece because the 1/8" i used was way to hard to bend and thick Wow, 1/8" is damn thick for something like that! Hell, you could use sheets of black ABS plastic and that would be stiff enough to hold the weight of the guages. Quote
1990lumina Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 Plus it would be alot easier to bend...I like the look of the aluminum finsh though Quote
brianteel Posted August 30, 2005 Author Report Posted August 30, 2005 it is 1/8" brushded aluminum. I cut it down to .062" thick. i will be getting that piece to try it. i was not thinking when i made the first one. it is not really mounted in there. it slides in and that is it. so we will see what happens with the next one. DiscoStudd Posted August 30, 2005 Report Posted August 30, 2005 That kicks ass! I wonder if there'd be enough room to mount a single gauge on the other side of the dash (where the trip computer mounts.) Quote
brianteel Posted August 30, 2005 Author Report Posted August 30, 2005 i think you can fit 2 over there but i have not tried it Quote
