bogart219 Posted August 24, 2005 Report Posted August 24, 2005 Hey fellows, Gots a 94 gp 3.1 , that i'm changing out the ac compressor in. I read a while back here that someone talked about swapping out a blue ford orifice tube in place of the white gm tube. They said it would blow colder air. Is this true and if it is, does this hurt the compressor in any way? Sounds like a good thing to do. Please advise. Thanks! Quote
Whiskey River Posted August 25, 2005 Report Posted August 25, 2005 It is a viable solution if you are changing from R12 to R134. If you already have R134 and try using a smaller orifice tube, you could very possibly freeze the evaporator. Quote
