slick Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 Chris, it is a great product, couldn't hurt to give it a try Yeah, thats a good point. I'll probably do it sometime this fall before winter sets in. Knowing my luck though, I'll be looking for another car come end of winter time LOL. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 Reguarding that pic.... DO NOT NOT NOT NOT, get this on your skin! , it will NOT come off. I tried. The only thing I could do is literally take sandpaper to my skin! For the love of GOD, were gloves, goggles, and protective clothing!!! Where's that thread about the guy who used that stuff and got his hand stuck to his dick? Quote
digitaloutsider Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 No no, he got herculiner on his hootus. Quote
Turbo231 Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 easy to apply it is messy as hell to apply, see pic below ROFLMAO!!!!! That's not gonna be easy to clean up. Quote
19Cutlass94 Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 The whole underbody of my car is painted with that stuff. If you get it on your skin, expect it to stay there for a couple weeks, unless you scrub it everyday in the shower. http://www.w-body.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28078&highlight=por++work&sid=7d81dd686a28763d33d2569abaace484 Quote
Stevo Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Seems the best idea is to treat this just like paint. Put the car up on a hoist. Mask EVERYTHING you dont want this to destroy. Pick a set of disposable coveralls. Garden Gloves. Eye Protection. Go buy a garden sprayer ($5-10) spray it on. Quote

Stevo Posted August 28, 2005 Report Posted August 28, 2005 Rustoleum Rust cure/removerThen satin black spray. I'm going to be frank. Rustoleum only covers the rust trapping enough oxygen in with it to continue the corrosion process. It's about as much of a cure/remover as wishful thinking is a cure/remover for cancer. See my other post above. Quote
