digitaloutsider
Using a platinum plug. Waste-spark systems eat through them, especially the pieces of shit known as Bosch plugs.

Stevo
Yeah Bosch is the worst thing to hit the 3.4 since oil pump drive seal replacement.
Brian P
Get the BOSCH shit out of there and go with Delco or in a pinch, autolite or champion

19Cutlass94
I dont think you really need platnuim plugs. The regular Delco plugs are fine. But yes, those plugs are very good.

DaveFromColorado
I run standard A/C Delco plugs in mine (cause I'm too cheap) and they work very well for me. on a side note ... Marvel Mystery Oil is just kerosene with a FEW (not many) detergents. --Dave.
MoTox8410
were the original plugs platmium??
mfewtrail
were the original plugs platmium?? The original DOHC plugs are just the standard AC Delcos(part # R42LTSM), they're not platinum. They're typically around $2 per plug.
Calvin
You don't need platinum plugs, they won't get you any more power, just more mileage between maintenance intervals. Since you actually work on your car, this obviously doesn't matter. Just get Delcos or Delco Rapidfires. They both work great. How great? Well, GM chose them to obtain optimum mileage, power, and durability for your car. I ponied up for Rapidfires, but anything Delco in the right heat range works. digitaloutsider
RapidFires are platinum.. If you want a "performance" plug for waste spark ignition, Get NGK Iridium's (NGK makes AC Delco's, don't bother paying more for them). chadz34
While we are on the topic of plugs. I popped the hood on my Lumina and noticed that the front 3 wires are red....and they back 3 are black / gray. WHy the hell would Chevrolet put two colors of wires on the car? digitaloutsider
Actually, the plug wires I bought for the cutlass came that way. The front's are red, and the rears are black. A lot of the 3.4 wires I see are that way.
