Supreme Cutlass
What could cause an unstable idle? I'm guessing I have a problem with either my IAC or TPS. The engine sounds normal when driving around, but it idles horribly. Plus my battery gauge on my cluster reads to the middle on the start, but is in the red after the engine speed goes down to idle... what's up? Battery has been charged btw
sonyman87
well a weak battery will cause your voltages to go kinda nuts. go to your local autozone get a battery and alt test. lets us know further if it still happens btw does it only happen when its cold out? Supreme Cutlass
Seems to have fixed itself... ...I'll ask Autozone to check it out, but brakes come first, and that's tomorrow . Any idea what might be draining the batt.?? The previous owners had troubles with dead batt.'s so far it's gotten dangerously low...

1990lumina
Alternator not charging to the best of it's ability? Something is drawing from the battery after the car is turned off (hard to pin point)
