Tigershark Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 man i just replaced the alternator.. and ahh the belt won't stop squealing when i turn the system up.... and i can't get to the tensioner to try and adjust it.. I know it's a spring loaded tensioner.. but I think somehow the tensioner got stuck and is not ahhh.....tensioning... hmmm is that the right word?.. anyway it's squealing.. anyone got any hints on how to get to the tensioner without pulling crap out of the engine bay? i wanteed to wait and fix it when i got the new pulleys but it reallly really annoys me to pull up to a light and ass soon as the bass hits... people stare at my car with a WTF is wrong with that car look... damn i better end this here before it turns into an Audio Issue and i get to told to post in the right place... anyone got any suggestions? :bawl: Quote
DaveFromColorado Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 try replacing the belt and the tensioner - I've seen those cause that exact problem when people have big stereo systems in their cars. --Dave. Quote
