JakeMetz63
Hey As some of you know, im swapping a 97 LQ1 into a 94 GTP and ive ran into a problem. Since I had to use the 97 exhause manifolds, the pipe in the 94 doesnt match up. Its the pipe that goes from the exhaust manifolds to the cat. converter. Any ideas on an easy fix? Any way to make the 94 piping work? Should i just pull a piece from a junk yard? thanks jake
buckethead
just put a whole new exhaust on it seriously though, that'd give you a performance boost anyway so why not?
chadz34
Yeah, in the future you will want new exhaust, why not do it now. Saves you hassle later on.

digitaloutsider
So.. I'd say grab a downpipe from a newer 3.4 like you have. That seems to be the problem. (it'll have to be cut, junkyards cannot sell the downpipe with the cat on it. they can't sell a used cat period)
