93 Grand Prix Posted February 11, 2003 Report Share Posted February 11, 2003 I just read a service bulitan about the PROM in our ecms going bad. In the TSB it said that probles associated with this is Long Cranks, Idle, Decel Surge. Diagnosis was to replace PROM. If you have been following up on my problems, those are some of the things that are wrong with my car. I was the prom like a chip in the ECM? if so, can I just buy a performance chip? Justin Posted February 11, 2003 Report Share Posted February 11, 2003 Doubtful, I haven't monkeyed with a 93 ECM yet, but I think it's the same as the 89, and you put your PROM on top of the chip, then insert the chip.
