Tigershark Posted August 15, 2005 Report Posted August 15, 2005 i was thinking of buying aset of UD Pulleys and a chip from the 60 degree website.. but I'm not sure what the horsepower gains would be. anybody got this combination in their W? if so about how many more ponies did you get? or is it even worth the money? And where Do you think the gains would be? i need some torque.. some of the five speeds get a nice little jump off the line... that hurts. thanks Quote
Tigershark Posted August 18, 2005 Author Report Posted August 18, 2005 By the way, How does a chip work? will it improve performance on a stock vehicle..... or do you have to change stuff out in it in order for the chip to fully enhance performance? What's it going to do? And as far as the pulleys go... how do they improve performance? i understand that they are smaller than the stock pulleys therefore turn the accessories faster.. but will that actually make a difference or is it just a marketing technique? :?: :?: :?: Quote
NOHC_WBody Posted August 18, 2005 Report Posted August 18, 2005 i understand that they are smaller than the stock pulleys therefore turn the accessories faster. Underdrive pulleys turn the accessories slower than normally. By turning the accessories more slowly, less hp is required to turn them. By your definition, they'd be overdrive pulleys. Quote
