runt Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 What is the best way to get wax out of lets say, the front grills on the GP. When they detailed my car at the dealer before I picked it up, they probably buffed it (of course) but left a mess all over the car (duh). So, I am finally getting some time to where I can detail the car really well. I actually spent 1.5 hours on the front bumper yesterday....lol. Gotta keep it waxed so no buggies can stick. Anyway, I pulled the front grills off, and used a soft brush and got a good amount of it out, but not all. What can I do? Quote
NOHC_WBody Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Make sure you keep it lubed with brake fluid as well. Quote
runt Posted August 12, 2005 Author Report Posted August 12, 2005 I always thought I was to use Blinker Fluid for that application Quote
NOHC_WBody Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Nope, blinker fluid, especially the JDM kind just slings off at high RPM. Seriously, try some Simple Green or Orange Clean. Quote
LukeZ34 Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 If it's dried up wax, use a small toothbrush. Take the grilles off too, that should make it easier. Quote
1990lumina Posted August 12, 2005 Report Posted August 12, 2005 Gasoline (though it is getting expensive to go that route) mineral spirits, etc.. Quote
