pwmin
http://www.compnine.com/vid.php Could someone try that? I tried the 3 VINs for my current vehicles and none were in there. You put your VIN in and it's supposed to give you production figures. Found it on the riviera board and theirs were coming up.

Bossman429
It seems like the rare cars do not come up. My Beretta, Cavalier, and S10 came up, but every 2005 Impala SS I found on Cars.com did not. I ran a few regular 2005 Impalas and they came up, Also ran a 9C1 2005 Impala which came up one of 11,000 police impalas in 2005. I wish I still had my TSTE VIN EDIT Ran a TGP off Cars.com and it came up... seems like the production number they list for the LG5, HUD, and TGP cluster is 2,749, which makes me really want to run a Turbo STE since it would not have the HUD available. I found a VIN in Jeff M's website: 1G5WT54V8LF289416 One of 1000, it passes!
pwmin
cool, it works. Looks like they're updating it, though, so that's good. It was down for a while last night for that.
Bossman429
The Impala comes up now, but as an LS, and there are no production numbers for the options listed. Does anybody have any idea how many SS's they made in 2004 and 2005?

Cam'ron
i just emailed Chev to see if they have the numbers available in regard to how many of the Dale Jr montes were destined for sale in Canada. Finding my serial # of the run of 2883 is a lost cause but it would be neat to know if it was one of 500 or even less.
EviLette
http://www.compnine.com/vid.php Could someone try that? I tried the 3 VINs for my current vehicles and none were in there. You put your VIN in and it's supposed to give you production figures. Found it on the riviera board and theirs were coming up. http://www.compnine.com/vid.php?vin=1g2wj14t6nf262177&x=29&y=10 Using this and selecting the most important values, I come up with the number 47 matching vehicles for my ‘92. The strangest part is that by my VIN number, it pulls it up as a 2 door GT 1992 model. Mind you, when I got the car, it had already had the factory engine replaced... there would be no way to know if it was a GT model since it had also been debadged, (without the motor) correct? Every other vin decoder I have pulled up has said it was an SE with the 3.1 series engine in it. What's even more irksome - it says it was assembled at the Fairfax plant, when I distinctly remember at one point there was a KC plant sticker on the car somewhere. The car has (apparently) all the options but dual power front seats, air bags, and power trunk release. Primary exterior color: black, interior light grey/black two tone with cloth seats. (primary ext color added first – interior added at the end, which did not change the numbers.) Rally cluster. Aluminum wheels with lockers; 225/60/16 Rear defogger. Power antenna. AM/FM/Cassette player with Equalizer. Leather-wrapped shift knob. Leather-wrapped steering wheel. B4U performance package. Power 6-way driver’s seat. Power windows/locks Power mirrors Tilt steering. All wheel disc brakes. Automatic 4 speed. I sat at 63 matching vehicles for a while until I went back through the list to pick up other options (power antenna, power driver’s seat, factory stereo/6 speaker sound). Do you think it’s safe to say only 47 were made identical to mine? For a list of codes used, just in case I totally botched it... US7, 14C, A31, JL9, ME9, N33, AU3, AC3, PB4, NP5, C97, CR1, DD2, MX0, NC5, UB3, QXJ, UW4, A78, 149, DG7, 14I, 15P, CD4, B4U, C49, C67, VY7, C75, UX1, 41U **The car has the OHC, which I believe is a special design on the roof assembly itself, and not a lot of cars came with this option? I did not see it listed on here, only a floor compartment, much to my dismay, so the numbers certainly can't be completely accurate, unless of course the OHC was an option included in one of the other RPOs listed up there. Additionally, could I cross-reference the list of RPOs above with the list on my deck lid to match? I haven't looked in a while to see if it has all of those listed - I assume it does. It's just too damn cold to go outside right now. 40+ mph winds and around 40 outside, and damp. EviLette
*bangs head against desk* I want to know why that damn vin decoder kicked my car back as a GT. It's just not right - it's damn cruel.
94 olds vert
I have a 91 GT I could post the VIN if you want for reference. I am not sure how you would be able to tell the difference from a GT or SE.

EviLette
RPO Z7K: PONTIAC GRAND PRIX "SE"(MERCHANDISING OPTION)(2WM19 + Z7K = 2WJ19)(2WM37 + Z7K = 2WJ37) SE(Z7K) Mine is 1G2WJ14T6NF262177 I am noticing that some of those strings look similar to what I am seeing in my VIN, but not identical. Is the only way to confirm the RPO code to have the original Build Sheet? I saw that item on the list, but IDK really what all the breakdown means. I always thought mine was an SE because of the 3.1, but it came with a non-original motor and completely debadged asided for the nose arrowhead. RobertISaar
interesting...... then 2WJ19 = GP SE coupe with a 9 code restraint system(???), 2WJ37 = GP SE convertible(?!?1/!?!?) with a 7 code restraint system(???)...... so i'm certain it's not directly usable/related. in the VIN, the digits are arranged: 1 Country of origin (1=US) 2 Company (G=GM) 3 Make (2=Pontiac) 4 Platform (W=W=Grand Prix) 5 Trim (J=SE, H=LE, P=GT/GTP, T=STE) 6 Body Style (1=2 door coupe/sedan) 7 Restraint System (4=passive/automatic belts) 8 Engine (T=LH0) 9 check digit (error correction) then 10-17 are the serial number Edited November 13, 2012 by RobertISaar
