Dear Mr. Heyen,

 

Thank you for contacting the Pontiac Customer Assistance Center. I appreciate you taking the time to write us in regards to the production numbers for the 1989 and 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix.

 

I have processed your request for production totals for the 1989 and 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix, my research is as follows:

 

1989 Grand Prix

Coupe= 72,561

Le coupe= 32,254

Se coupe= 31,916

total 136,731

 

1990 Grand Prix

Le Coupe = 49,490

Le Sedan= 56,407

Se Coupe= 16,397

total 122,295

i emailed about production numbers of the first generation Lumina...we'll see when they get around to responding, "they like to respond withing 48hrs" so we'll see.

I wonder if it makes a difference in WHAT exactly you ask for. In my email, I asked for production numbers for the 93 model year and also asked if they could break them down by model. I'm going to write them about the 1990's and see if they can provide more detail.

Forgot to post up what I received.

 

1993 Pontiac Grand Prix

 

"Thank you for contacting the Pontiac Customer Assistance Center. We appreciate you taking the time to write us in regards to the production number for the 1993 Pontiac Grand Prix.

 

The total produced for 1993 is 106,083. This does include the LE, SE, STE and GT. No break down is available."

In 94, the SL was merely an appearance package...

 

Im thinking it goes something like this:

 

R7A: Base body kit, 15 inch wheels ( mine )

R7B: SL body kit, 15 inch wheels

R7C: SL body kit, 16 inch wheels

 

That being said, I'm thinking yours is an R7B, but I'm not sure. Let me know when look at your SPID, I'm kind of curious...

I have the production numbers from a book

lumina 90- 295,007

lumina 91-159,482 z34-36,345 including euros

lumina 92-236,306 z34-38,037 including euros

lumina 93-221,355 z34-30,166 including euros

lumina 94-86,626 z34-3,860 including euros

 

i have a 94 z haha.

 

i can get any chevy production numer from 1904-2003

3/24/03 i requested this information on the 1995 lumina this is the response i got.

well, i do have an SL with 15" wheels, so I'm assuming that I'm an R7B. I'll have to check the SPID when I get out of work today to check.
