havikx
there is a 94 grand prix se with a 3.4lt in a lot. is it the older model or newer model 3.4? and i know a 95 monte carlo, which came out in 94, has the newer 3.4 in it. by the same math, the 94 grand prix should have come out in 93, in which case would be the early model 3.4, yes? Aaron
A 1994 will have the 94 3.4 DOHC in it This means it is the 1.5 gen, using the old heads and intakes with the new OBD 1.5, which included a MAF sensor and SFI instead of MAP based MPFI, causing the car to gain 10hp and 15tq over the earlier automatics. By your definition, it is the newer style.

chadz34
Damn it. Will that work in my 92 Z34 though?
chadz34
Is the OBD 1.5 the actual computer chip, like the one that I bought from Ben?
Aaron
You can make the motor work very easily in a 1992 car with a 92 computer, I for one am running a setup just like that (95 3.4 on a 92 computer)
chadz34
So what adds the power....just the type of fuel injection?
