Stevo
1) Which wears faster? OverHeadCam Lobes or Valve Lifters? 2) Of the parts listed in the OHC. Which wears faster and which normally gets replaced? ex. Valves (stem), Springs, etc. 3) When it comes time to do the top end on an LQ1 because of the Oil Pump Seal. Is it a good idea to replace valves, springs and seats? moving away from the heads... 4) Since I have this large gap left behind from removing the airbox and installing a custom intake. I noticed that the blank space (large enough for a second battery almost) could be used for something else say... Coil Pack relocation. The only problem is that the standard plug wires I think wont allow for this 12" slide sideways of the coil pack. Has anyone done this and/or is this actually a good idea considering how little room we all have to work with? Thanks.

Slick relocated his coilpacks up front and they look like they came that way from the factory....I will see if I can dig up a picture.... Crimson Fury Z
also look how the 95-97 monte z34's coil pack is mounted, ontop by the pass. strut.
joey b
that's exactly what I did. You will have to lengthen the wire to the CPS and the power wire. That's cake. Make sure to put it as far to the driver's side as possible. Mine's a little too close to the crossover than I would like, but it works. Makes dealing with the coil packs 50X easier. Stevo
I found a pic to where Slick moved his to. That looks great. Guess this makes changing the wires easier. Still ... I have that huge honkin hole where the airbox used to be
