94cutlatized Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 Sounds resonable, for imported engines with crank pulley balancers and all this sorts of sensors on them , i'm guessing that its different with us, since *60's are internally balanced. The technology in a BMW is much greater, and an underdrive pulley for a car that is VERY well balanced with external balancers or dampeners that are read by sensors or whatever, will more than likely fail. Not a mechanic, but thats what i think, at least. please correct me if i'm wrong Quote
bartonmd Posted August 4, 2005 Report Posted August 4, 2005 one thing Digitaloutsider, The engine in the 3000GT DOES have a counter-balanced crank pully... This was in the first link in the "saga" Mike Quote
