MonteC Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 my friends a/c compressor on his 94 lumina euro siezed up. he just wants to get rid of the a/c, are there any a/c delete pulleys for the 3.4l. Quote
solid_raiden223 Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 Sezied? You mean like it Stoped Spinning? Quote
Aaron Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 No there are not, but you could make one. Or you could take out the A/C unit, and basically gut its internals, leaving only the case and pulley. Quote
White93z34 Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 i think you should be able to pull off just useing a shorter belt, i may be wrong but i'm 90% sure it can be bypassed with a shorter belt. Quote
Aaron Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 You cannot bypass the 3.4's A/C compressor do to how the belt routing goes. Quote
White93z34 Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 yeah... your right, i wasen't totally sure on that and i coulden't remember the belt routing all that well. Quote
jmblimo Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 In South Carolina, he needs the A/C anyway. It was over 100 several days this week. He can pick up a compressor on Ebay or the junk yard for pretty cheap, and while at it, convert to R124 if it now uses R12. Quote
MonteC Posted July 30, 2005 Author Report Posted July 30, 2005 actually he lives in texas, but its still pretty hot out there. Quote
