frusciante fan
i'm wondering if it's really much better than your generic filter. and also on K&Ns site they offer stock relacement filters and universal filters. should i go with the stock or would using a universal be better? Robby1870
stock replacement. Mine was good for like 2-3mpg...well worth it. Dont konw about hp increase, but mpg wise, its a nice addition....plus never having to buy a new filter....just clean it off

SigEpCutlass
there's a minimal increase all around. it's dyno proven. I'd say it's worth $20, cause I paid $48 for mine.
frusciante fan
bought it and sent in the money order a few minutes ago
SigEpCutlass
i didn't click a link, but if it's not brand new, you might want to get the filter recharger kit from your local parts store. Recharge the filter and then use it. These kits cost about $10.
THe_DeTAiL3R
I bought my K&N drop in USED, and bought a recharger kit so it all worked out to being alot cheaper than a new one. I've cleaned it a couple times already.
frusciante fan
the picture shows it with the box and still sealed in the bag and is listed as: NEW K&N OEM AIR FILTER FOR GM & TOTOTA and if i do not receive in this condition my wrath shall henceforth follow! 1990lumina
I've noticed a very nice boost in mpg..maybe 2-3. I'm happy with mine just for that reason!! Be careful when tightening the air box lid though....my filter surround was a foam type stuff - the K&N has hard rubber around it, so of course I overtightened the lid and broke it. And the j/ys around here are expensive for everything ...so be careful!!!
19Cutlass94
I wouldnt say its hard rubber, but its almost like a gasket that comes with it that forms to the box and seals it from air getting in. Well worth the money though, picked up a couple mpg and probably a little more power, but I dont think it was very noticable. But if used, recharge it and drop it in. Should be good to go. chadz34
Mine's just a drop in K&N, but I could feel a bit of additional power. More so helps out with fuel mileage.
