rebuilt 4t60e slipping

had trany rebuilt at begining of year. i have had intermitant slipping on 1-2 shift. fluid now brownish instead of pinkish. and now a fragment of metal. time to use warrenty and raise hell

and how many miles have you put on this rebuild? Also was it a private garage or one of those well known shops? I would also cause a seen on this!

i'd say 2000-3000 miles. it was a well know shop in area. it came with a national warrenty

ok then you shouldn't have a problem if they need to service it.

 

When the car shifts from 1-2 does it feel slightly like your going over train tracks?

I'm sure you checked your level and its good, so that doesn't sound like a good thing....hopefully its just a simple adjustment.

Ohh z34Phoenix, you didn't happen to take it to that place on Mason Ave... assuming you are still in Daytona? (Not saying the name) They did my 83 Olds Omega and within 10k it broke. There is a better place called Johnny's Tansmission in NSB. They were wonderful to me and fix the problem that "the other place" won't touch becasue they said I broke it. If you have any problems with them honoring the warrenty, pm me, I will shoot you the number.

yeah im still here i used a place on ISB that one on mason looks like a trash heap! good looking out though thanks.
