94CutlassSLCoupe Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 yep that is it...there are two styles..a straight one from 3.1 cars, and a bent one for 3.4 DOHC cars. Quote
EurosportZ34 Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 my bro's 2001 MC LS 3400 has a front STB...is that not factory then? Quote
joey b Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 Anybody have a pic of one of these bent ones for the 3.4? Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 A good deal of seconds gens had them I believe. But the only first gens were Cutlass verts. Quote
mfewtrail Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 i thought some regals had em? Late model Regals did have them John, I'm not sure if ALL years did or not though. I know the 2000 LS shop car/wrecked Regal we had at my school had the factory STB. Quote
john99gtp Posted July 23, 2005 Report Posted July 23, 2005 technically, bonnes arent W's though Quote
sonick Posted July 23, 2005 Author Report Posted July 23, 2005 would the late model regals/2nd gen w-body STB's work with my 1990 Grand Prix? I saw a bonnevile at the yard yesterday, it had an STB, but im pretty sure it wouldn't have fit the GP (i didnt bother taking it out and checking). The mounts on the bonne were more oval, whereas the GP is round. Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted July 25, 2005 Report Posted July 25, 2005 Yes, STB from a gen 2 W will work... they're just a bar and nothing else, so you can either pull out a power drill and drill holes into your strut tower plates, or get bolt-on adapters from ZZP for that factory look. Quote
93GTP Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 Where can one find a gen 2 bar? I wasn't familiar with the adapters from ZZP. So they work on a gen 1? Yes, STB from a gen 2 W will work... they're just a bar and nothing else, so you can either pull out a power drill and drill holes into your strut tower plates, or get bolt-on adapters from ZZP for that factory look. GOT2B GM Posted August 27, 2005 Report Posted August 27, 2005 I have the ZZP brackets on my car with the 2nd gen GM bar and it fits great, even with the 3.4 Quote
