THETANK
I just pulled the spark plug boots off of the plugs (the front ones only). There is a ton of oil in the area where the spark plug sits (on 2 of the 3 plugs). I did not remove the plug just the boot and oil was dripping off of it. I have the 3.4 L engine. what is causing this and how do I fix it?
5speedz34
Valve cover gaskets, the o-rings around the spark plug holes leak it down into the bore. Get new gaskets and you'll be set.
White93z34
also i could imagine its caused by the fact that the oil fill cap is right there, i know if i'm not careful filling my oil it will go down there if i spill any.
