Darkness Posted July 21, 2005 Report Posted July 21, 2005 My sunroof was making an awful chattering noise. When I took the cover out I noticed that some of the tabs that keep it in its tracks were broken off. But, after fixing the liner and reinstalling it, things are quiet again. Maybe mine was caused by something loose that I tightened again after reinstalling. Might be the plastic channel guides that attach to the glass portion. Dang it.. not sure how to describe those things... Quote
Prospeeder Posted July 22, 2005 Author Report Posted July 22, 2005 ok i shouldnt even say its chattering, it just rubs the front part when u "pop" it open or called the Vent position, its annoying, the velevty strip is what rubs against the paint/ sunroof frame aread, and it makes a chattering noise, i guess i used some bad terminalogy here, cause u prolly think its skippin off its track Quote
Darkness Posted July 22, 2005 Report Posted July 22, 2005 Maybe you need to adjust the glass a hair. The glass actually slides back and forth on the rails after loosening the nuts.. It could be that yours is not forward enough to sit firmly on the velvety part, so it slides against it. Hard to say, really. Quote
