biff85ta
Are the fan(s) running?
Whiskey River
That's exactly what it sounds like. Check to see if your fans are kicking on. I'm not real familiar with your particular model but if it has 2 fans, one should run all the time with the other cycling while the AC is on. DiscoStudd
The old trick to see if they worked back in the days of OBD-1 was to jumper the A and B terminals on the ALDL (like you were checking the trouble codes) and see if both the fans ran when you had the ignition switch ON but the engine OFF. In your case, you should pull the electrical connector off of the primary fan (driver's side,) grab a volt meter to probe the connector, and start the car with the AC turned on. You should get the full 12 volts to the connector with the car running while the AC's on. If you get the voltage at the connector, then the fan motor is bad. If you get no voltage, then your relay is bad (or it might just need the terminals sanded down and bent out a tad so it makes contact better.) If you don't have a voltmeter, unplug both the primary and secondary fans and plug the primary fan's connector into the secondary fan. The secondary fan should then kick in when you start the car and switch on the AC. If it does, the primary motor is shot, if it doesn't, then the relay is shot...
