havikx
after catching up on some reaserch on the 1988 cutty pace car and other assorted rare cars such as TGP's..*cough* lumina euro3.4 *cough*..i came across a question.. would it be possible to re-create the 1988 pace car..well..replica? i mean 2.3 quad 4 engine cant be THAT hard to find..can it? it could easily be shadowed atleast. you would need the body of a cutty convertable..the engine..HUD.. any1 think it'd be possible? Supreme Cutlass
Why do you want to?
havikx
just something i was thinking about. i find myself to be dreaming of enentually becoming a w-body collector and i would want one of those in my collection. and if not...take a cutty convertable, swap the engine, make a few mods like HUD, and get some vinyl printed out. some new color..you'd be set pretty much. mihela816
Are you thinking turbo quad like the actual pace car?
GnatGoSplat
I've dreamed about that before... never really intended to do it, just kind of fantasized. Yeah, I think it could be done fairly easily and rather inexpensively. Easiest thing to do would be to get a 90-91 convertible, a black one if possible, and have the cladding painted dark gray. Paint the inserts on the wheels black. Then swap the Q4 in and turbo it. Any decal shop should be able to reproduce the decals. Front airdam might be hard to find though. It wouldn't be a true collector's car though, since it wouldn't be real... You could also start with a 92-95 convertible, but a 90-91 wouldn't need much as far as changing the body. Psych0matt
theres a guy in my town somewhere that has that front bumper (i think its the one we're talking about) thats in good condition, although the rest of the car is pretty far gone. I'll try and snap a pic if i see it again. I think he lives up on the main road in town.
