new exhaust

so i've decided to have some exhaust work done. it should be relatively simple, just adding a Y type device and splitting it off into two mufflers instead of one and adding a couple exhaust tips. i doubt anybody here knows the guy but i'm having Alan Debevec do it. he's been in Mopar magazine and built his own dragster from the ground up...he's good.

so i'm basically wondering about how much this would cost. i tried getting a price from him but i guess he just went ahead and ordered the muffler so i'm kinda stumped. he's got a pipe bender too.

i just realized something last night. i think he thought that i just wanted a new muffler with two outlets, not two seperate mufflers like i wanted. so i called him today to get everything straight. he said he had some "turbo mufflers" with 2 or 2.25" outs at his shop that would do well and for tips he said he has some 2.5" stainless steel that he could use. and he's just going to make a spliter as well for it. i guess if he already has the material for mufflers and tips it would be cheaper than order them anyway. ah so much for my 18" long, 3" diam. tips...

haha he also said the only muffler that he saw before that would work was one for late model trans am or camaro. apparrently this is overkill for a Regal.

just a couple questions. wtf is a "turbo muffler"? and he also said those turbo mufflers were small in size. what effect would this have on the sound?
