genEus
So I found some 98 LTZ 16" wheels for $50/ea at a local yard... the guy said "they're in good condition, obviously have some weight marks..." So, wtf is a weight mark and what should I look for when I buy used rims from a junk yard? Thanks
Robby1870
I think he's referring to marks left by the small wieghts applied to balance the wheel
1990lumina
I think he's referring to marks left by the small wieghts applied to balance the wheel They leave scratches and sometimes tear off the clearcoat of the wheel. I'd request a couple pictures just to see how bad it is. In this picture, if you ignore the peeling clear coat everywhere else....just look around the lip of wheel...those marks are what he is talking about most likely
jeremy
I wouldn't worry about it, but would obviously look at them before handing over the cash. You will hard pressed to find JY wheels without a weight mark of two.
3pt1lumina
that is REALLY cheap for LTZ wheels . I've been looking for my dad's 97 Lumina here in Western New York and I cant find shit. Request pics before you do anything, it seems too good to be true.
