SES light on UB3

I noticed that my service engine soon light on my ub3 doesn't work. Checked the wires and connections, everything is in the right spot. The reason i noticed this is because i was trying to retrieve a code because my car was running kind of funny and i hooked my code scanner up to it and nothing happened. My cooling fan came on but nothing else. The old base cluster would flash a code on the ses light, but this one won't even light up. I also checked all the bulbs and they are all fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

probably a burned out bulb or bad connector.
