Pontiac6KSTEAWD
Well the damn light came on today. I pulled the codes and this is what I am getting... This is on a 90 TGP Code 32 EGR SYSTEM : Check Vacuum hoses and connections for leaks and restrictions. Replace EGR Valce.* Code 44 LEAN EXHAUST : Check ECM Wiring connections. Check for vacuum leaks at the hoses and intake manifold.* * definition : Componet replacement may not cure the problem in all caases. For this reason, you may want to seek professionsal advice befor purchasing a replacement part(s). Both have something related to vacume. So I will route around and see if I can find a vac leak. Whats your all opionions??
Pontiac6KSTEAWD
Well after digging around under the hood, I found 2 vacume hoses the just werent even connected. The EGR being one of them, and the vacuum tank? I think thats what its called anyways. The tank in the drivers side fender. So I hooked those back up, and cleared the codes and did a idle relearn. Still idling funny when the cooling fan isnt on, but idles fine when the fan is on. No SES light as of yet, but I only drove it for about a mile. Any ideas guys? Pontiac6KSTEAWD
Ok, so I go out driving around for a bit, no SES light. Got to a LONG stoplight, and it pops on. Soon as it turns green and I hit the gas, about 10 secs later, the SES light is out. Code 44 is coming up on the SES light. I am thinking since the X-over is bad, its the O2 sensor sending improper readings because the X-over is bad. Either that or the ECM is bad. Can anyone give me some ideas on this, (I hate being the only poster in my own thread) or maybe confirm or deny my thinkings of what is wrong.
