jeremy
DIC's Q4. I want to install a DIC into my Regal/Grand Prix/Cutlass. I don't want to cut any wires, though. How do I do this? A4. If you have an 88-93 W-body, Look on eBay (or this website) for a DIC unit and COMPLETE wiring harness. The wiring harness will plug into the C200 block located under the dashboard. With the complete harness, no cutting or splicing is required. Completely plug and play. 94-97 requires cutting and splicing. Ask users on this board. Q5. Can a DIC be directly installed into a Lumina (Plug and play)? A5. No, The c200 does not have the correct provisions to do a PAP DIC install. It can be done, however. Q6. Someone told me there were two types of 88-93 DIC's! WHAT?! NO! A6. Yes, it's true. There are two types of Grand Prix DIC's. From 88-90 they used a multicolored LCD type display. From 90-93 a single color vacuum florescent display was used. STE's also got specific DIC's which had a complete lamp and door monitor. Q7. Can I put a 94-95 DIC into my 1996 Grand Prix? A7. No, It won't work. 1996 Grand Prix's require a 1996 DIC. Good luck finding one of those. courtesy of Shaun
