frusciante fan Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 i was wondering if i would be able to add a hood scoop without any cutting of the hood. so essentially it would not function, but just be there for looks. Quote
Darkness Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 There are plenty of hood scoops out there which use 3M double-sticky tape to attach them to the hood. Just do a quick search on eBay and you'll see a bunch of them. Quote
frusciante fan Posted July 7, 2005 Author Report Posted July 7, 2005 which type would look best on a Regal in your opinion? http://www.ultimateautoaccessories.com/Car%20Category%20Pages/Hood_Scoops.htm (not ordering from here^^) Quote
Kalgorn Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 None. Why the hell do you want to put a hood scoop on? Especially one that's not functional. Quote

Donutboy97 Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 If you want the hood scoops, I would go with either the medium or large dual hood scoops. I forget what size everyone uses :? Quote
buckethead Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 yeah, I'd say the dual hood scoops are the lesser of all the evils.... but don't bother with them, they'd just look out of place. I saw a dodge caravan around here the other day with a hoodscoop and ricer wheels and i couldn't stop laughing Quote
Darkness Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 I think the newer Pontiacs look pretty darn cool with the dual scoops. I wouldn't mind having those scoops on my TGP. I am going to end up putting a mini-snorkel on mine, cutting a hole in the hood and adding some air ducts, debris screen and rain-catcher. I figure I am not going to sell a 16 year old car with 250K miles on it anytime soon, so I might as well customize it a bit. Besides, what engine doesn't like a little fresh air? Quote
J Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 None. Why the hell do you want to put a hood scoop on? Especially one that's not functional. HAHAHAHAHA RICE!!!!!!!!!!1 Quote
Dannymik Posted July 7, 2005 Report Posted July 7, 2005 if you decide on any I also agree with the dual med scoops, but I'm not a fan of the fake look...IMO it looks way too tacky! Quote
Euro Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 you might as well go molded hood scoops like the GA one above. The lund stick on one are stupid as hell...especially when people dont paint them to match their car Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 Ewwwwww fake scoops! The ones like on the Ram-air GA are more molded into the hood, they don't just stick out like ugly plastic GARBAGE. Quote
Cam'ron Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 and arent the ones you see on just about all mew pontiac gp/ga etc functional? i never took the time to look closely at them... imo the lund scoops are crap havent seen a single application that looks good Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 I beleive the ones on the GA GT w/ Ram air is suppose to be rated +5HP over the ones iwth regular hood... Quote
Cam'ron Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 the best pontiac scoops out there are the ones on the newer transam ws6... they look absolutley mean and sexy all at once Quote
Darkness Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 I have always liked the scoops on the 70-73 Formula Firebirds. I suppose that's where my hood scoop fascination started. Quote
montemadness04 Posted July 8, 2005 Report Posted July 8, 2005 stick ons??? just get the real thing.... Quote
Stevo Posted July 9, 2005 Report Posted July 9, 2005 ps. If you wanna laugh. Try a fake scoop held in place by a 5/32" magnet like the kind they use for temp signage on the side of a vehicle. The fake scoop is held on by the magnet and air pressure/adhesion and doesnt move. Untit you grab it and pull it off. ie. no hood cutting. Quote
