monte carlo questions

i just bought a 1995 Monte carlo LS for my daily driver (hopefully i can resist driving the tgp) any ways the headlights look like shit... is there such things as glass ones? any good mods i should do to it?

youll find aftermarket replacements on ebay for a decent price, headlight is actually glass it just fades over time. Ive heard of people re-coating them too but I just replaced mine.

you could try polishing them with aluminum wheel polish....I know that polishing the ones on my SHO eliminated the yellowish fading....but if you go this route and it works, be prepared to polish them every couple months to keep up the look

Wetsand, polish, buff... worked great on my TGP's yellowed dull foglights.

what grit wetsand did you use Shawn?

I think 600 then 1500 then 2000 if I remember correctly.

I just hand-buffed with 3M Fill 'N Glaze, but a mechanical buffer would do a much better job.

could always get headlight covers for them if you hate them that much, then you wouldnt have to look at them 8)
