I've seen posts that say it can be done by transferring "some electronic stuff" from the 94 transmission to the earlier one. I am wondering exactly what needs to be swapped over and how difficult this is, is it worth my time and effort? I ask this because I can get a good 4t60 from a 92 grand prix almost immediately for a really good price. Thanks in advance.

Too much work & cost to be feasible. You'll spend more than the cost of an -E rebuild to swap it over.

Pretty much sums it up. It's not worth the time or money to do it. You can get a junkyard 60E for a decent price.

when did the GP's(or W's) stop getting the non 60-E? For the lumina it was late late 93 for the 94 model release year
